Later his all three sons carried forward and expanded carpets business and enhanced its prestige and goodwill by dint of relentless working, pragmatic planning and good business governance.
one of the three brothers, Mahmood Alam founded Shimnan Rugs in 1979. This new company carried on the tradition of excellence and firmly established its reputation as producer of high quality hand knotted carpet. Later the family business was converted into a corporate business, which is being now run by family’s third generation and in the recent past the fourth generation has also joined. During its 41 year journey, the company crossed many milestones in its unrelenting efforts in achieving excellence in quality of products and processes.

of proverty. One of the goals of C & F is to break through this
vicious circle, which particularly affects the carpet knotting
countries of India, Nepal and Pakistan.
